The (W)hole Story?

Question:   A 63 year old male presents to you after noticing progressive, mild hearing loss in his right ear over the last 2 years.  He has a distant history of acute otitis media with perforation on the right side 30 years ago and an episode of vestibular neuritis 6 years ago, though he does not recall the side.  Examination reveals a 30% R TM perforation.  Audiometry reveals a mixed hearing loss on the right side with a sloping mild to moderate sensorineural component, and normal hearing on the contralateral side.  Prior to discussing any treatment for his TM perforation, what imaging study would you recommend?  [Answer will be posted with next week's new question]

Answer to last week's question, An Unexpected Neighbor (December 28, 2015):

Retropharyngeal lymph node or node(s) of Rouviere.
