Question: A 38 year old female is referred for hoarseness following thymoma excision. She has never had prior neck surgery. Laryngoscopy reveals a left true vocal fold paralysis. She undergoes injection of Cymetra with a good voice result and returns 6 months later as her voice quality has diminished. You elect to perform a reinnervation procedure. What donor nerve is most commonly used for laryngeal reinnervation, and would be appropriate in her case? [Answer will be posted with next week's new question]
