Putting 2 and 2 together...

Question:   The ENT service is consulted for a neonate with hypersalivation, increased oxygen requirements, and cyanosis with feeding.  Examination reveals a distended abdomen and a heart murmur.  While planning an operative microlaryngoscopy, bronchoscopy, and esophagoscopy, you review a chest X-ray that shows multiple fused vertebrae.  What is the diagnosis?   [Answer will be posted with next week's new question]

Answer to last week's question, It's Gonna Blow (February 8, 2016): 

Urgent angiography, potentially with embolization of branches of the external carotid system.  This situation may represent a sentinel bleed from an impending carotid blowout.
