Question: A 73 year old male is evaluated for “Bell’s palsy” in the emergency department. Consultation with ENT is obtained and the junior resident sees the patient. He reports to you that the patient has had gradually worsening facial weakness that started with asymmetric smile and progressed to complete facial weakness over a 6 week timeframe. What diagnostic test should be obtained next?

A) Nothing is required as the most likely diagnosis is Bell’s

C) MRI of the parotid
